What Is ICAI CDS?

ICAI CDS is an online portal of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. CDS means Central Distribution System. This is a kind of online store from where you can order study material, publications, artefacts and other items. ICAI will deliver your order at doorstep.

How to order online books and study material from ICAI CDS Portal?

Before placing an order on ICAI CDS portal you need to create an account. It means you have to registered yourself with ICAI CDS portal.

How to sign up on ICAI CDS portal?

Here are few steps to sign in/sign up on portal.

1. Type http://icai-cds.org/ in address bar and enter. Portal will open on your window.

2. The right side of portal you will see sign in option. Click on sign in option.

3. After click, a new window will open.

Here fill your SRN number provided by the ICAI at the time of registration or enter your registered mobile number if you are registered member of ICAI. Enter your date of birth. Enter captcha and click on sign in option.

If you are a new member and don’t have an account previously then click on sign up option mention in bottom.

4. After clicking on sign up a new window will open.

Here enter full name, email id, membership number if you have, GSTIN number (optional) date of birth, select occupation, mobile number, address, city state, country, pin code and captcha and click on sign up.

There is no need to sign up if you have registered yourself as student with ICAI. In this case your credential and password will be mailed to your registered email id. You can log with that.


How to order study material from ICAI CDS portal?

Log in to the portal select your books. Go to the cart, pay for order if you have coupon redeem that and order books or study material.


How many days does it take to get books from ICAI?

How placing your order, you will get your order within 30 days.

After placing order wait for the same, track your AWB ICAI CDS tacking id, if you don’t received books on time or need any other assistance you can contact on following helpline between 10:00 AM-6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

How many coupons are allowed to a student against his registration?

A student on successful registration to the course will be allotted coupon/s against registration.

· Foundation Course students will be allotted 1 coupon,

· Intermediate and Final course students will be allotted 2 coupons.

· The Intermediate and Final course students can choose to use their coupons as per their requirement.

· Students need to select the required study material either English or Hindi Medium as per their requirement and redeem the allotted coupon/s on this portal to receive the study material from the Central Distribution System.

What is the validity period for coupon?

For Foundation course- 1 year

For Intermediate- 2 years

For Final- 3 years from the date of registration


How to update my communication details on CDS ? /How do I change my shipping address ? 

You can change your address while you place an order, you can update your new address before placing the order.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, you can cancel your order on same day not later. You will get your refund within 15 days.

How to get tracking id of my order?

After dispatch of your study material, ICAI CDS tracking no. will be sent to you on your registered mobile number.
